Neuropy Soothing Oil | Warming Natural Massage Oil for Hands & Feet

Description

A warming, aromatic massage oil built around frankincense, myrrh, peppermint and rosemary — the third part of the Neuropy family, designed for slow, intentional massage on hands, feet and legs. A favourite among customers managing peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, restless legs, and the kind of everyday tingling and nerve discomfort that asks for something more than a quick rub. 100ml bottle for generous, larger-area use.

Why it works

Where the Neuropy balms are designed for targeted moments, Neuropy Soothing Oil is built for the slow ritual — pumping a generous amount into the palm, warming it between the hands, and working it methodically into hands, feet, calves or legs over several minutes. The carrier oil base (castor, avocado, sunflower and sweet almond) creates a smooth, long-glide texture that makes massage actually feel like massage.

The aromatic blend is what gives it its character. Frankincense and myrrh — botanicals long valued in traditional wellness practices — bring a grounding, earthy depth. Peppermint adds a gentle cooling tingle as it absorbs. Rosemary rounds it out with a warming, herbal lift. Together they create an aromatherapy experience that turns a daily massage into something more intentional.

It's a favourite among customers managing peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), restless legs, and the everyday tingling, burning, and nerve sensitivity that comes with long days on your feet, repetitive strain, or simply ageing skin. Many customers use it as part of an evening wind-down routine before bed.

100% natural, paraben-free, free from synthetic additives, and handcrafted in small batches in Essex by a UK family-owned brand making plant-based skincare since 2007.

How to use

Pump or pour a generous amount (5-10 pumps depending on area) into your palm. Warm between your hands for 5-10 seconds — this releases the essential oils and brings the oil to skin temperature. Apply to clean, dry skin and massage in slowly using firm circular motions, working towards the heart where comfortable. Spend 3-5 minutes on each area for the full benefit.

For hands and feet, work the oil between fingers and toes, around joints, and into the soles. For legs, work from ankle upward in long sweeping strokes. Most customers use it morning, evening, or as a pre-bed wind-down. Wash hands afterwards if you'd rather not transfer the aromatic oils to other surfaces (clothing, bedsheets, phone screens).

Frequently Asked Questions
How does this differ from the Neuropy Max Balm and Neuropathy Comfort Balm?

The three products work as a family, each for a different moment. Neuropy Max Balm is a maximum-strength balm with turmeric, arnica, and menthol — designed for short, intense application when discomfort flares. Neuropathy Comfort Balm is a gentler hemp and St John's Wort balm for daily, all-over use. Neuropy Soothing Oil is the longer-massage, larger-area aromatic option — a 100ml bottle of oil designed for proper, slow, intentional massage of hands, feet and legs, often as part of an evening routine. Many customers own two or three across the range, reaching for whichever suits the moment.

Can I use this for peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy or CIPN?

Many of our customers managing peripheral neuropathy (general), diabetic neuropathy, and chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) use this oil as part of their daily comfort routine. The slow massage motion itself is often as valuable as the oil — encouraging circulation, gentle nerve stimulation, and a moment of dedicated self-care. That said, these are medical conditions and we always recommend speaking to your GP, specialist nurse, podiatrist, or oncologist before adding any new product to your regime, particularly if you're on prescription nerve treatments (gabapentin, pregabalin, duloxetine, amitriptyline) or undergoing chemotherapy.

What does it smell like?

Earthy, warm, and herbal. The frankincense and myrrh give it a grounding, almost meditative base note — these are the same botanicals used in traditional incense for centuries. Peppermint adds a clean, cooling top note that fades within 15-20 minutes. Rosemary brings a fresh herbal lift. It's not a sweet or floral scent — it's the kind of aroma you'd associate with a quiet wellness room or aromatherapy clinic. Most customers find it deeply relaxing, particularly as an evening wind-down.

Is it safe during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or for those with epilepsy?

This oil contains rosemary and peppermint essential oils which aren't recommended during pregnancy, particularly the first trimester. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your midwife or GP before use — they may suggest avoiding this product entirely. Rosemary essential oil also isn't recommended for those with epilepsy. For everyone else, the formulation is gentle, but as with any essential oil blend we recommend a 24-hour patch test on the inner forearm before first use, particularly if you have sensitive skin or known allergies.

Who is this best for — and who should avoid it?

Best for: people managing peripheral or diabetic neuropathy, restless legs, runners and walkers wanting an evening recovery routine, those with desk-based tension in hands and forearms, customers who enjoy aromatherapy and intentional self-care rituals, anyone caring for ageing parents or relatives who find massage soothing. Avoid or consult a professional first: pregnant or breastfeeding women, those with epilepsy, anyone with a known allergy to nuts (sweet almond oil is present), children under 12 (the essential oil blend is too strong), people on prescription nerve medications without checking with their prescriber first.

How long does the 100ml bottle last?

Used once daily on both feet, the 100ml bottle typically lasts 6-8 weeks. Used twice daily across hands and feet, around 4-5 weeks. If you're treating larger areas like full legs as part of an evening massage routine, expect closer to 3-4 weeks. A little oil goes a long way once warmed in the palms — most customers find they use less than they initially expect, particularly as the carrier oil base spreads easily across skin. Store in a cool, dark cupboard away from direct sunlight to keep the essential oils at their freshest.
